Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. The Livio Felluga winery is one of the most prestigious in Friuli Venezia Giulia and throughout Italy. The estate is made up of various parcels located in the Colli Orientali and Collio areas, with some historic vineyards such as those of Rosazzo. Here native vines such as Ribolla Gialla, Picoloit, and Refosco are grown and some international varieties historically present in the region, such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The elegant labels, which show ancient maps of the territory, have over time become a trademark of this historic company which has been producing wine since the Second World War. The Ribolla Gialla grapes are sourced from vineyards located in some of the most suitable areas of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. After a short cold maceration, fermentation takes place in steel tanks and the finished wine then rests for a few months in steel tanks on its yeasts. The wine reveals a light and limpid color with straw-yellow tones. On the nose, it shows a fragrant character with aromas of white flowers and aromatic herbs, apple and pear. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, fruity and elegant. The finish is long and slightly savory. Have it as an aperitif, or try it with white fish.
